ILCA Boat Covers & Sailing Protection by RIPPER

RIPPER designs and manufactures ILCA top covers, bottom covers, foil bags, rig bags and hiking straps around the way sailors actually use and transport their equipment. Reinforced construction, practical fastening systems and materials selected by technical specification form the RIPPER standard.

Selected RIPPER ILCA covers and bags are built from 1680D polyester with a PU coating and WR finish, chosen for demanding transport, repeated handling, abrasion and exposure to wet conditions. We use clear material specifications instead of invented fabric names. Specification before slogans.

RIPPER products are designed, cut, sewn and finished in Poland under direct supervision. Many technical components used in our production — including load-bearing webbing, buckles, threads, elastic cords and ropes — are also made in Poland.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT COVER FOR AN ILCA?

For everyday storage, an ILCA top cover protects the deck and cockpit from UV, rain, dirt and exposure to the elements. During transport, an ILCA bottom cover protects the hull against scratches, impacts and damage caused by repeated handling and road travel. Together they form a complete ILCA protection system.

WHY DOES RIPPER USE 1680D POLYESTER WITH PU WR?

Selected RIPPER protection systems use durable 1680D polyester with a PU coating and WR finish. The specification is chosen for intensive use, transport, repeated handling and areas exposed to abrasion. The PU coating increases the protective properties of the fabric, while the WR finish helps reduce water absorption at the outer surface. Specification before slogans.

RIPPER products are designed, cut, sewn and finished in Poland under direct supervision. We also use Polish-made technical components, including load-bearing webbing and buckles. No anonymous production chain — direct control from the first cut to the finished product.
